STEPHEN GRANT 12-BORE SIDELEVER SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 5844, for 1887, 28 1/8in. sleeved nitro barrels, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, distortion to under rib, fluted leaf fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, fine acanthus scroll engraving (worn, scattered areas of pitting), tapped hole to rear of triggerguard, 14 7/8in. figured stock (slightly cast on for the left shoulder) including 3/4in. wooden extension and buttplate, damage and repair to fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 15oz.
